What is the BROWNELLS - RSA-108 19lb Pro-Spring Kit For Old Model & Old Army?
An excellent base from which to build a beautiful, smooth and reliably functioning gun. Includes a redesigned trigger spring and a reduced power hammer spring to give controlled trigger pull. Also includes extra power, base pin latch spring. Factory hammer spring is 23 lb. Kit contains 19 lb. hammer spring, 25% reduced power trigger spring, and increased power, base pin latch spring (use an old model only).

Works as Advertised
I used this kit on a late manufacture Old Army. The hammer spring is about 0.9" longer than the original, but will compress onto the strut with no issues. Reduces hammer cocking force, but has plenty of power to ignite percussion caps. The reduced power trigger spring significantly improves trigger pull.

Works great on the Single Six
This kit works wonderful on the Old model single six. Took the trigger pull from 5 plus pounds down to 2 3/4lbs. The reduced hammer spring has plenty punch for .22LR.

Two out of three ain't bad
Purchased for a Ruger Old Army. Fitted the mainspring and trigger spring and the pistol has been transformed. The trigger is light and beautiful. Not sure where the Base Pin Latch Spring (extra power) goes. I think it's for one of the other Ruger revolvers. Anybody out there knows otherwise, then please drop me a line else, if you live in Australia and need one I have a brand new one for sale. These are Wolff springs so you know you are buying a quality product and Brownells shipped to Australia which is another plus.

Disappointed back again
My first review of the spring kit may have been incomplete. To Brownells credit, they published my review even though it was unfavorable to their product. My Ruger Old Army was manufactured in 1994 and has the same backstrap as the internal lock Blackhawks. The Wolf springs do not work with the internal lock as far as I am able to check. (I have not called Wolf Springs as yet a failing on my part.) Other people that I associate with and who work on guns swear by Brownells and feel that I should have been fairer in my previous review. If you do not have the internal lock backstrap on your Old Army then the spring kit will work on your firearm.

Make by Wolff not Brownells. Does not fit the Ruger Old Army as advertised. To long by about 8 coils.
