Long Build Time But Exquisite Results
I bought this slide about a year and a half ago and my build took me quite some time because I was in the process of finding a new wife [who found me] and putting my G21 build together took a back seat until after we were married. What I didn't know, when putting it off, was that this turned out to be an exquisite build highlighted by the quality of this slide. My friend who is a dyed-in-the wool 9mm fan and trained at the FBI as a shooting instructor had never touched a 45 before and after shooting this one, after a day at the range, she wants me to build one exactly like it using this slide. I was amazed at the quality and the easy fitting on my Lone Wolf Timberwolf [TWL] frame and the KKM barrel topped it off. Brownells gave me a lot of guidance on the parts kits for the slide and the frame and again it's turned out to be as close to perfect as I could wish. It is as soft shooting as .45 cal could be and I have several to compare it against. Yup, it cost more but it fit my needs perfectly.
