Worked, With Minor Modification
A few months back I purchased my life-long dream gun - an Old Model Ruger Blackhawk in .41 Magnum at a "good" price. I didn't immediately notice, but the price was "good" because the rear sight blade was missing. So, I ordered one from Brownells and it arrived quickly. When it arrived, I noted it had a "bump" on it that needed to be removed before it would fit in the Old Model's sight base. Holding the blade with pliers and trying to file the bump off showed me how fragile the blade is, as it easily broke. Brownells came through on their "no questions asked" return policy and quickly shipped me another - free!!!. This time, I anchored the blade to a hard backing and used a Dremel to ever-so-slightly remove the bump. The sight blade now sits perfectly in the rear sight, ready for it's sight-in.
