What is the NOVAK - MEGA DOT TRITIUM FRONT SIGHT .180"?

Replacement front sight features a highly visible white ring surrounding a self-illuminating Tritium insert that really makes the front sight stand out in all light conditions. Mounts in a standard Novak dovetail (65º x .330" x .075") and can be secured with the included roll pin. Precision-machined steel body provides maximum protection of insert. Some fitting required; gunsmith installation recommended.

Steel, matte black. .148" (3.8mm) wide blade. Available in .160" and .180" heights. Requires 65Ñ” x .330" x . 75" dovetail

Novak Mega Dot front sight
Put this on my Springfield armory Ronin Operator. Couldnt be happier ! At my age I need a little help. Lol. Its perfect and for me, it transitions between light and dark perfectly for me old eyes.

Perfect. Nice fit on Springfield EMP
Cannot be happier. Bought trijicon HD set for the Springfield EMP but the front sight was too high. Needed shorter sight but trij did not manufacture the required height. Tried to order front sight off Fision but they directed me to buy a Novak megadot which Fision themselves manufacture. Sight picture is great. Well cannot be happier to be hitting POA. I tried other novak cut front sights but they were all loose in the dovetail. This sight fit nice and tight, required the sight pusher. Pictures do not show it but comes with roll pin as well. Perfect choice for CCW

Big Dot Novak easy to see!
This is the big dot Novak. Very easy to see, especially through Novak's wide notch rear sight. As with all Novak sights, it does require milling a dovetail in the slide, although many newer 1911 style pistols now come with Novak cuts in their slides. These are especially popular with older shooters whose visual acuity has suffered a bit.
