KENSIGHT - Low Mount, Adj./WD

I bought this KENSIGHT Low Mount, Adj./WD rear sight to match the front sight on a 1911 slide build (Remington R1 Tactical 45 ACP slide) I was working on. The sights both the front sight and the rear adjustable sight needed slight fitting to match this slide. I read in a posting the Govt, White, .215" height front sight was need with the Kensight to give enough range for adjusting. The build turned out great and the sights are of high quality.

First off, be advise this isn't a my sight just arrived let me review it. I've been using it on my built 1911 gov. for 3 years, not a real high round count, but enough that if it were going to fall apart it would've by now.. it's a great sight for the money, adjustments function as they should finish is still intact after a lot of cleaning, white dots still nice and white, I've had zero issues with this sight. Be aware that if you choose this sight, go ahead and get a .225 tall front sight to go with it (for a 5in. slide) otherwise you won't have the range of adjustment you'll want, I started with a .190 and couldn't get it to POA/POI at 50 yards it ran out of adjustment. The company Kensight should list heights of front sights according to slide lengths that will work. I had to spend money on another front sight, could've used that on another extra mag or ammo. But I'm still giving it five stars, it's a great product. Ignore the guy talking about needing a longer elevation screw, he needs a different front sight. And the fellow saying he has a gap under the base of his dovetail and the bottom of the slide cut, he needs to learn how to fit a sight. If you're thinking about getting one, go ahead and pull the trigger on this one,you won't regret it. I haven't. I have no affiliation with Kensight, just a satisfied user and novice/intermediate gunsmith and casual competition shooter.
