What is the ED BROWN - Slide Buffers, 6 pack?
Eliminates frame damage caused by slide/frame battering during the recoil cycle. A single, extra-defense, polyurethane buffer fits between the guide rod head and the recoil spring; completely prevents the slide from contacting the frame. Precisely molded so they won't drag on the frame and cause malfunctions. For best results, change every 1,000 rounds. SPECS: Polyurethane. Fits 1911 Auto only. 6 per

Best insurance
For years, slide buffers are the cheapest protection anyone can buy to protect their 1911 frame rails. Considering the investment price of guns, these are the best buy for the money.

Does the Job Well
I understand a lot of guys and girls are a little nervous about putting something like this in their 1911 but the funny part about it is a lot of manufacturers are actually installing these in the firearms before you even get it, it has slowly become an industry standard. so to be honest there's nothing to worry about these do work well it's just an insurance policy that helps protect your 1911 from beating itself to death.

Good product
Have used these before but can't get them locally. Works well on my old 1911 .45.

Very cheap insurance against a damaged g
I don't feed my 1911 A1 a constant diet of +P, but I do carry them for self Defense and keep in practice with them. I use the 18.5 lb. Recoil spring and matching firing pin spring, and these buffers. The 1911A1 I shot on a regular basis for over 30 years never had any slide or frame damage. It was stolen from me, and I bought RIA 1911A1 with a full length guide rod, and I put in the same Springs, and these buffers in my new gun. It functions perfectly, and no frame or slide damage. After over 30 years of use, I totally recommend these buffers in your gun, and they do hold up a lot time. Be sure to keep some on hand. Very cheap insurance to protect your 1911 A1.
