BROWNELLS - “INSTA GRIP” HEAVY TAPE

I found as I get older I am starting to develop some arthritis in my thumbs which makes it hard and painful to work the slide on several of my Pistols. I applied the Grip Tape to one of my pistols slide that I have the most trouble working. I found that with the grip tape that I now had no problems operating the slide and since I didn't have to grip the slide so tightly I now had no pain. I have now applied the Grip-Tape on all of my Pistols. I have also told all of my friends about the product.

I put this on a SW Model 41 and on a 1911 to help me get a purchase when racking the slides. I'm extremely satisfied with the performance of these strips. I cleaned the surfaces with rubbing alcohol, cut to fit and followed included instructions to apply. Couldn't be easier. Took the guns to the range and cleaned them after... the strips hold up nicely. We'll worth the money.

I'm not a fan of "skateboard tape" but am open minded. I have had mixed results with different brands and cuts. You can't go wrong with this. It holds up and works, and is a good temporary or permanent solution to checkering (may need changed at some point). This is long lasting and holds up to cleaning. Price vs value = get extra and play with it!

I use this tape for the front strap of my 1911. I cut a piece so that extends under the grips and when the grips are screwed down it definitly will not come off when you don't want it to. However I switched to the medium texture tape because after a lot of .45ACP rounds down range my fingers were raw. They should offer a package with both textures in it.
