RUGER - Grip Frame

As described the frame arrives in with some casting marks but finished enough to attach to revolver, a file removes major casting marks, wet/dry sandpaper with a small sanding block polishes the surfaces to the level desired. By purchasing a hammer, trigger, grip dowel, trigger spring pin, and the Allen head back frame screws it was easy and enjoyable to convert a Blackhawk to a Bisley Blackhawk, the polished stainless frame mated with the blued revolver is striking to my eyes.

If I have a complaint about this grip...it would be that it is not described or listed as being stainless steel. Maybe I should have asked....as I intended to have it plated. The grip took very little work to remove what casting marks were left. All lines and edges were crisp, and I anticipate no problems regarding fitting to frame. The quality of the steel lent itself to a very nice high polish with no casting or metal flaws visible. Overall, the conversion is entirely within the abilities of someone with a bit of mechanical/metal-working knowledge, but not necessarily a gunsmith.
