These barrels are produced with six-groove, broach-cut rifling that enhances the inherent accuracy of the design, and the rifling can be used with any kind of 9mm ammunition, including lead-cast rounds. Each Springfield Armory Hellcat Barrel features a 1:10-inch twist rate designed to stabilize most loads on the market, and the barrel is topped with an 11-degree competition-style muzzle crown. This feature is imperative to controlling accuracy and precision, as it ensures the same dissipation of propellant gases each time the gun is fired. A fully supported chamber also ensures an extra level of reliability and durability. In addition, these Springfield Armory Hellcat Barrels are a step up from the factory design, coming with special chamfers, radius cuts and other small touches that they don't do at the factory.
