Enables power cleaning bolt raceway.
My integrally suppressed Ruger Mark3 22/45 gets dirty quickly due to suppressor blow back. The carbon and/or lead build up significantly slows the bolt and eventually jams. Cleaning with riveted ejector is tedious. I installed this, so that I can use a 12ga bronze brush and/or bore mop to clean 90% of my receiver with an electric drill. I only had to narrow the protruding tab to fit my 22/45. The ejector sits a small amount higher than factory ejector thus magazine feed lips have a larger gap. I used Flitz with 12ga bore mop to smooth and polish bolt race way. I did purchase longer 4-40 stainless steel screw since the included screw is too short. I ordered a second as a gift. The second ejector arrived with a non-threaded hole. Brownells took care of that issue. After 250 shots, blue Loctite is holding well. You will need to grind or drill out Ruger rivet. Attached pic shows final fitted ejectors and ejector with missing threads.

Fixed my Mark 1
My ejector was so loose I had fte failures constantly. I knew from the reviews that I would have to shape this to fit, but my only other option was to replace the barrel. My barrel is inscribed "Made in our nation's 200th year of liberty" as it was manufactured in 1978 so I wanted to keep it. I filed off the rivet head to remove the old ejector and then used my Dremel to shape the new one using the old one as my pattern. I took some material off where the screw goes in so the screw was long enough. Took the gun to the range today. It works perfectly and I am satisfied.

great ejector

Works great in my older MKI Bull barrel
Had to take my time removing loose rivet on the old ejector but the results were worth it. Ejector fit great and required no modification. I used a 4-40 SS socket head cap screw to install it. I used a non-permanent thread locker product to hold the screw. I also ordered the same manufacturers extractor kit which is as impressive as this part. Both are working well after 500+ rounds.

Well Made, but Screw too short.
Because I didn't want to pay shipping costs and possible repair costs to have a new Ejector installed on my Ruger MK II, I decided to try this for myself. I rec'd it quickly and noticed that in deed, it needed fitting. OK! I ground it down (dremel) to proper shape. Then noticed the screw is much too short! Another reviewer said, get 4-40 size screw (about 2 dollars from Lowes), which I did. I then ground the screw down to an appropriate length. (Screw can not extend through Ejector into the upper-receiver.) So over all, good ejector, and unless manufacturer updates the supplied screw to a longer length, you will need to buy a longer screw. Still glad I did this.
