Works for me
I put this housing on a black Wrangler. While you may think that's a waste, read on. it fits correctly, which was expected. Easy to install; just remove the screw, remove the original housing (which is aluminum) and put on the new housing. I put some blue Loctite on the screw, as they can have a tendency to back out otherwise (owners of Rough Riders definitely know what I'm talking about!). This housing weighs one ounce more than the aluminum original. With this extra ounce on the barrel, the balance is changed, and (in my opinion) for the better. The Wrangler is easier to hold on target for me now. On the black Wrangler, the Stainless housing adds a certain elegance to the gun, as well. So, on balance (see what I did there?), it adds to the shootability of the Wrangler, and looks good. I don't see a downside to this.
