Match Grade Extractor
Easy to use, easy to tune, much better than factory parts. It has a much more positive grip than other extractors on the market. I use Brown parts on all my customer's and personal 1911s.

Excellent Design
I bought the Ed Brown extractor to convert my 80 Series 9mm Commander to a 70 Series. ( I also bought the TJ's Shim) I had attempted to fit a Wilson Combat extractor to my pistol (which is my go to extractor) but the fitting pad is quite large for the extractor channel on my Colt. The Ed Brown extractor fit perfectly with only minor bending to set the tension. Works perfectly and passed the 10-8 extractor test at the range. Excellent product, highly recommended.

ED Brown extractor.
I used to have problem with malfunctioning using the original extractor supplied with my 1911 pistol, since I changed it to ED Brown all problems gone away, highly recommended.

VERY TOUGH EXTRACTOR
I'VE INSTALLED QUITE A FEW OF THESE IN RACE GUNS AND A FEW PLINKERS. THE AMOUNT IT PROTRUDES FROM THE REAR OF THE SLIDE DEPENDS ON THE MANUFACURER OF SAID SLIDE. I NORMALLY BLEND EVERYTHING TOGETHER WHEN ALL DONE. UNLESS THE CUSTOMER DOESNT CARE IF IT STICKS OUT A LITTLE BIT. GREAT REPLACEMENT PART FOR CHEAP 9'S WITH POOR QUALITY EXTRACTORS.

Works great fits not so great
This part worked great with no modifiacation in my 29199 Rock Islan 1911 A!FS. I does not fit flush in the back . I sticks out a little.
