STREAMLIGHT - TLR REMOTE SWITCH

Purchased this along with the 100-008-462WB BATTERY DOOR/SWITCH ASSEMBLY, and added them to a Streamlight TLR-1S HP (which brownells does not seem to sell). It's an awesome package for a home defense rifle. Super bright, the TLR Remote switch responds well to contact, whether a lot or a little, and activates the strobe feature with a quick touch followed by holding it down. The portion that plugs in to the door assembly can rotate 360 degrees, and never comes unplugged accidentally. The remote portion can easily be teathered to the handguard with a piece of Velcro stuck to the bottom of it, and stuck on your handguard where you want it. Or you can be all high-speed, hooah hooah, and get an actual remote holder (Magpul, Knights, and Larue all make them, among others), but I prefer the cheap/quick velcro method, myself. Just remember, if you currently have just a TLR-1/TLR-2 with the standard battery door, you have to buy both the remote switch AND the battery door in order to operate the light remotely. This costs a few dollars, but it's worth it for a rifle set up.

The switch is of good quality and it functions without a problem, but an additional component is required for the switch to work with a TR 1, TR 1s or TR 2 light - Battery door 100-008-462WB BATTERY DOOR/SWITCH ASSEMBLY ($39).
