SUREFIRE - M640DFT TURBO SCOUT LIGHT PRO

Being a high candela fan and user of Cloud Defensive, Modlite, Streamlight, and Surefire lights in harm's way....I know a winner when I see one. Having used the Fury DFT 1500 lumen handheld light for some time, this M640DFT has fewer overall lumens, but the candela in the hotspot is CRAZY GOOD. I actually use this on my Benelli M4 12ga for SD/HD use and you'd think a high candela light on such a sort range weapon would be a waste. You would be wrong. The spill is still plenty good and you have a bright white "aiming dot" (the hotspot of the light) that is a superb representation of the general area in which the shot column and wad will go. Even with a red dot, I am simply shocked at how much I love it. Further, SF, Cloud, Streamlight, and M0DLITE can take shotgun recoil like no other lights I have yet used. They don't flinch. It's nice to know that my SF M640DFT WML isn't going to get hurt by my Benelli AND that, if somehow it does, SF will 100% take care of me. Buy with confidence for rifle or shotgun use. I'll go out on a limb and say that this is the best 2-cell/18650 WML in SF's 2024 lineup. No caveats. It's that good.

Surefires were our issued lights when I was in. Came in handy quite a few times in Afghanistan. The 640DFT is an excellent light IMHO. Lighter than what we had but output is so much better. For now I sticking with the click tail cap since I’m not a big fan of ND/AD light activation. Saw too many of those overseas. Currently mounted on my 416 build, perfect pairing.

Surefire makes the best. I know it's expensive but considering, the quality and customer support. I figured, buy once cry once.

Surefire is the king of "buy once, cry once." But its always disappointing. Got this light and it doesn't even work with their own battery. If i put a cheap amazon 18650 battery in, it works. But out of the box, it doesn't work with the supplied battery.
