What is the OUTDOOR CONNECTION - A-Tac Single-Point Sling?

OUTDOOR CONNECTION TACTICAL SLING

Durable tactical slings provide a wide variety of comfortable carry options while ensuring rapid, smooth transitions to a shooting stance. These slings are manufactured from durable, mil-spec materials, featuring close-weave nylon webbing, heavy-duty 800-lb. tensile strength elastic, double stitching and shockproof polymer hardware that won’t rattle or rust. Quick-release buckles can be disengaged with one hand, and tri-glide slip locks let the operator adjust overall length quickly for rapid shifts from strong side to support side and back. A-Tac – Single-point sling fits any weapon that accepts an HK-type snap hook. Provides maximum range of weapon movement for fast transition from many carry positions, including over either shoulder, across the back, under the opposing arm, and around the neck. Three-point polymer buckle allows selective release of the left side of the strap, the right side, or both simultaneously to free the weapon from the sling. Basic two-point sling of straight 1¼" wide nylon webbing attaches easily to USGI sling swivel. Loops through rear swivel, secures at front with two steel screw closures.

SPECS: Mil-spec nylon webbing, polymer hardware, black.

Reviews Summary
Customers appreciate the comfort and affordability of the tactical sling, noting its strong elastic design and weight capacity. However, sizing issues, particularly with the shoulder strap length and overly stretchy material, are common concerns. Some users report buckle reliability problems, which may lead to potential safety risks during use.
What Reviewers Are Saying
Comfort
60%
Many reviewers highlight the comfort provided by the elastic design and wide webbing of the sling, noting it effectively distributes weight across the shoulder. This aspect is particularly appreciated by users who aren't wearing body armor or tactical vests, making it a favorable choice for extended use.
Sizing Issues
50%
A significant number of customers mention concerns regarding the shoulder strap being too short, making it difficult for individuals with larger body types to use effectively. This issue significantly impacts the usability for many potential users, leading to dissatisfaction and possible returns.
Buckle Reliability
40%
Several reviews point to problems with the buckle, describing failures when lateral pressure is applied. This has raised safety concerns for users, as the risk of the firearm dropping is a critical issue that can diminish trust in the product's design.
Elastic Stability
30%
Reviewers express mixed feelings about the elastic's stretchiness. Some note that while the elasticity contributes to comfort, it can lead to instability, risking the positioning of the firearm during movement. This balance between comfort and stability remains a key discussion point.
Value for Money
50%
Despite some criticisms, a number of users express that the sling offers good quality for its cost. Many appreciate its affordability while still recognizing durable features, suggesting it meets expectations for a budget-friendly tactical accessory.

Very nice for the money.
I like the 3way diconnect. It is metal at the gun and plastic at the intersection and has a high weight capacity. Its a low cost piece but you wouldnt know it.The elastic is strong. It may not be a "high end" sling but I found it worth every penny.
5
Great single point sling!
This sling is awesome! Very comfortable to wear with my Mossberg 590. Going to order another for my AR soon.
5
I would buy this sling again.
Awsome sling! Don'y know why the one reviewer's sling is so "springy," but mine works just fine. Holds my 870 just fine and I have no fear the muzzle will end up in the dirt as he said.
5
Best so far.
I have several brands of tactical slings. I like this the best. I really like the wide elastic band. I is alot more comfortabler if youy are not wearing a vest.

A-Tac Single-Point Sling by OUTDOOR CONN
My second one of these slings. If I had to say something critical I would like the "connection dingus" to be shorter. I don't wear body armor so the extra length is not needed. when using a single point I like to have some tension applied to the rifle to firm up the shoulder weld. With the elastic design this would be possible if the "dingus" was shorter. Maybe an inch or two.
