UNCLE MIKES - UNCLE MIKE'S QUICK DETACH 100 SLING SWIVEL

Just the thing for those who need this style of QD sling swivels. These fit 1 " wide slings straps the right way.

I purchased the Loops Only to use for a 2-point hunting sling on an AR platform with an A2 spec'd buttstock. The sling is unique, as it has a fast loop on 1-1/4" webbing, with 1" webbing used for the 'rear' attachment. The A2 stock is equipped with a Noveske Flush QD Mount. I use many different, heavy duty QD mounts, including Magpul, Grovtec, BCM, Damage Industries, etc., as well as their swivels. Four stars because my impression of the 2 Uncle Mike's QD swivel loops was very favorable, as they fit well and locked into every QD mount I use EXCEPT the Noveske flush mount where it would click in, appear to be locked in place, but then could be twisted right out of the mount. The Noveske locks up & retains every other QD swivel I have, so not really an issue with the flush mount. My recommendation is that these should be vigorously tested in every QD mount that a person will be using. I would NOT recommend these to be purchased for use with the Noveske flush mount. One-inch heavy duty QD swivels are less common so they are harder to find, but I did find an alternative 1" swivel that fits and functions as it should. I will use the Uncle Mike's 1" QD swivels in applications that do not have the Noveske flush mount. These are my personal observations and I do not have any conflict of interest to disclose.

I mounted a set of these on my 1903A3 back in about 1956 and used them for years on that rifle. Best set of sling swivels I have ever owned. Why? They rotate without losening the mounting screw and stripping out the wood, especially on the front swivel. All my rifles now have these swivels as they are the best if you are a hard hunter. I have never had one come loose.

clever design. I am NOT worried about them coming disconnected accidentally. Easy to install (drill + epoxy). The build quality is not good enough. One ball bearing popped out in shipping (I pressed it back in and it is fine now). One unit does not RELEASE the button when I press it (i tried lubricating it but that did not help). I think it's a construction issue. But these are much better than the normal swivel pegs and work when connected.
