KNS PRECISION, INC. - Parkerized Front Swivel Stud

I found out that this swivel was not designed for the adjustable, plastic stocks we use. It was for the original MA1A2 stock. I wanted for an adjustable stock so I had to cut off a piece of the stud and it fits and works perfectly now:

Wasn't sure just how this would work on my AR, but worked great. Had to add a couple of strips of foam tape to take some wiggle out of my tripod.

Very easy installation, both front and rear swivel mounts fit like a glove! After installing the rear sling mount there were some small sharp edges left on the original slot for the military non-movable sling mount, but a minute of work with a razor knife fixed that. The front sling swivel mount attached to my A2 handquards with no trouble at all. Just follow the directions and use a very small amount of Loctite on the threads and you are good to go. I also bought the KNS parkerized sling swivels and they are a perfect match to the studs and hardware on my military looking AR. I can now easily remove the sling for field stripping and maintenance, a lot better than the entrapped sling with the original non-detachable military style sling mounts. The holes on the swivel studs are cross drilled, you can mount your sling swivel from traditional side to side as well as front to back. Allows options for mounting your sling on the side of the firearm if you like. Very good product, recommend it highly.

If you have A2 style handguards, but want the flexibility that comes with QD swivel style sling options, this is a solid and cheap way to upgrade your AR.

I don't know what one of the other guy's problem was in the reviews, but if you're looking for a stud for an AR-15 A2 stock that will accept sling swivels such as the Uncle Mike style...this is the one to buy. It fits PERFECT! Very Happy with my purchase.
