MEAN ARMS - AR-15 MA-Loader

I did not buy my MA loader from brownells I purchased direct from mean arms website. Works like a stripper clip in my mil-spec upper so I purchased two more. I will buy more when I have more money to spend.

This product is a great example of smart engineering solving a problem with good design and good materials. If you're one of those poor souls living in a state where you must pin your AR15 magazine to be legal, these things make it much less painful. They are like quality, easy-to-use stripper clips to refill your fixed magazine quickly and conveniently. Highly recommended.

Works well but takes some time to get use too. It does not have any spring or step/grove, so must push round handle up when loading to prevent cartridges from falling. Now, when inside eject port, need to push really hard and fast, otherwise it will doubleload. With all said, it is not that fast to load, so it saves just a little time

before getting this product i know of some of the limitation and issues that it had and that i would not like, for example the build quality(plastic) and the fact that when you take the loader out it makes your bolt go forward and feed one in the chamber(not a fan of that). i live in NY so i need this product due to my magazine being pin and locked into my receiver and was tire or breaking it down in order to load ammo. my set up is a DB10 in .308 from Dimond Back so this product may act different on your AR10 set up. first issue is that when your bolt is lock open and you have to put in the loader almost AK style and push back on the bolt at on angle with the plastic loader so it fits into the chamber (pic). takes some time to get use too. i know you have to hit the loader backwards so it could come off after loading your rounds but its a hit a miss issue because if you dont do it just right your bolt will go forward and catch the plastic part that hits your bolt. i uploaded 4 pics one of the angle you have to put the loader, one of the loader properly in, one of my finger pointing to the direction you have to "hit" the loader to get it off, and last of pic of the loader dimple that hits the bolt (and needed to push back) also a small peace coming out next to it. sad thing is i dont how long it will last but have to get it if you live in a state like NY.
