CALDWELL SHOOTING SUPPLIES - Caldwell AR-15 Mag Charger

At first I tried using it with out reading the instructions or watching a video. Of course, it didnt work out too well. But, I discovered my mistake by watching the video and reading the instructions. Voila! It works flawlessly!! I can fill a 40 round mag in about 45 seconds (including putting the actual rounds in the unit). I also really like the Caldwell ammo boxes designed to work with this. Makes it even faster!

This is a piece gear that is a must have for shooters.I was able to load a 100 rnd mag in less 4 mins. It took me longer to get it out of the box than load the mag. Works flawlessly.

I load up plastic boxes of .556 or 300 BLK and load mags for the range in no time. It fits loaded in your range bag. It is not recommended to leave 556 mags loaded. It will weaken the spring... This is a great solution to get empty mags staged quickly. They need to make one for .308. Highly recommended. Trump 2020

If you have not seen the video for this product allow me a moment to explain... You load your 50 rounds onto the supplied tray, points up. You line up the bullets tips with the black tray in the loader and flip the tray upside down, basically dumping the rounds into there proper slots. You then insert an AR-15 magazine into the side of the loader, release the tray and start pumping the handle. In less than 20 seconds you have loaded a 30 round magazine. I have used this on the Surefire 100 round magazines and I can load one of those in under 1 minute. I typically pre-load all my mag's prior to going target shooting or plinking and with this I can get in done in only minutes. I took it with me last time I went to the range and I ended up with a crowd around me. I even loaded magazines for about ten other people I didn't even know. I think I made Caldwell a few sales that day. I always just accepted that I would have a sore thumb on shooting days but not any more. Trust me folks if you hate loading as much as I do you really need to get yourself one of these. I even wrote Caldwell to tell them what a great product it was and begged them for a AK-47 version. Well Caldwell now makes an AK-47 version. I personally own two of each. The only down side is I wish it was made of metal (aluminum or another light weight alloy)rather then the high impact plastic it is constructed from. They make great gifts too. I have owned the AR-15 version for about three years now.

The loader works great on my 30 round mags. The loader has to be use carefully per instructions, for example if tilted the wrong way when being filled it will cause a cartridge to fall over and jam. I could not make the loader work with a 60 round mag, it jammed immediately. I rereas the instructions to make sure I was following the proper steps, but I could not load more than one row in a 60 round mag without jamming.
