What is the CARLSON'S - Brass Wool Snap Caps 12 GA?

Snap caps are great for dry fire practice because they let you concentrate on keeping the firearm steady during the trigger pull, which helps eliminate flinch when using live ammo. Shotgun snap caps feature a wool chamber mop that can be soaked with gun oil or preservative to prevent a rusty chamber during long-term storage; available in your choice of a brass or aluminum base.

Great snapcaps
These snapcaps will protect your firing pins and with a little oil in the mop, protect your firing chamber. They are necessary if you are going to dry fire your shotgun. They hold up quite well, even if you dryfire every day. It can be expensive to replace your firing pins and you sure don't want to fracture one and have it come apart on the firing line. Being both a competitive shooter and a gunsmith, I speak from experience.

Wooly Snap Caps
A pair of these heavy brass snap caps have been used in my over/under shotgun more than a decade. Just apply a light oil to the wool, insert in the chambers and pull the trigger. The spring-loaded "primer" safely absorbs the strike of the firing pin, and the trigger springs are safely relieved of pressure for long term storage. A great product at a fair price!
