This beats dragging a bunch of smaller sand bags around and a mechanical rest, anywhere you want to shoot. Seems I was filling the whole car up to just take a few shots to adjust a new scope, or test some ammo. This bag could be used for competition but it's 12 1/2# filled and there's probably better options. It is very stable and will hold your gun without any in-put from you so all you have to do is line up the sights and concentrate on trigger pull. For the money, it's hard to beat this as a stabilizing platform to shoot from. If you don't get the one that is filled, plan on a little time to get your media through a pretty small hole. I let my friend use mine and now he's threatening to keep it. I'm just going to get another one. If you use one, you'll want one.

Seems like it is somewhat well made. Seems to be shorter than the older model I have used. I would not buy this unfilled and really considered sending back, This is hard to fill maybe the funnel would help but then you might as well buy it filled. Considered filling with beans or rice but if it got wet they would mold and it would be impossible to remove them from the small filling spout it really needs a liner, so sand seemed to be my only option and then the weight would be more than I wanted. Will keep and give as a gag gift at Christmas.
