The MTM Case-Guard P-100-38 holds 100 rounds of .38 Special or .357 Magnum. It’s strong plastic, and the lid has a hinge. The hinge is an important feature because it allows you to fully open the box, and the lid won’t be trying to spring back. The style with the spring back all plastic will eventually wear out and rip. The hinge style won’t.
I have several of these now, and I’ll tell you why. I load my own, and I like to “ladder-step” my loads. For example, I might load 25 test-rounds with 3.5 grains of a certain powder. Then I’ll load 25 rounds with 3.7 grains, and then another 25 rounds with 3.9 grains of powder, etc., Perhaps you could call it load development. In the past, I was putting different test rounds in different plastic bags, and forgetting which was which. These MTM Boxes solve that problem, and clear up any confusion I may have. Just one more thing: don’t try to put 9mm shells in the .38/.357 boxes. I had to tip the whole box upside down to get them out. I won’t do that again. Good luck.
