Excellent book about the history and operation of the M1
There are lots of folks that have obtained an M1 Garand over the last few years that have never used one. This is primarily because the rifles were retired before they were born. This book talks about the history of the rifle, how to operate it, and how to disassemble. clean, and reassemble the rifle.
