Snug Fit- Does the job!
I would rate this 5-stars, however, the set screws are too bulky for the M1A SOCOM 16 rifle. The adapter fits no problem and has a snug fit. The screw holes align well with the M1A SOCOM 16. The main issue is when the gas piston attempts to connect with the bolt, the screws are too large and block the bolt from going forward and prevent a full seat of the bolt chamber. I had to manually grind the screws to be flat enough to allow the bolt and gas piston to connect, and make a full forward seat of the bolt carrier. I would recommend replacing the kit with flat head set screws, so as not to affect the integrity of the set screw and upper bolt/rod assembly. Not sure how this will affect bullet and barrel harmonics due to the friction between the bolt and screws when firing the rifle.
