REMINGTON - Premier Accutip 20 Gauge 3" 260gr Sabot Slug 5/Box

I have hunted with these slugs out of my 20 gauge HR ultra slug gun for close to 16 years. The accuracy is incredible. Typically 1/2" at 100 yards. I've shot dear out to 230 yards with incredible knock down power. My only word of caution is they lose energy after 250 yards. My buddy shot a huge buck at 268 yards, hit it square in front shoulder, and knocked it down. It ran off. The buck was killed a week later, and we found the slug under the skin. No penetration, no real damage to the buck.

In November of 2024 I was hunting whitetail in northern Missouri during rifle season with my wife and her uncle. Every year when we go back to Missouri I take a different firearm. This time I had my TC Encore 20 gauge slug gun zeroed at 100 yards. I had a Nikon 2 x 7 slug scope with a BDC reticle mounted on my Encore. I also had Nikon's Spot On ballistic app on my cell phone and the ballistic chart loaded for the Remington 20 gauge 260 grain Accutip Bonded Slug. I was able to range my deer at 226 yrds. I had time to check the app as the buck was checking out a doe. When he finally stopped I turned on the app and checked the range. I had the scope set on 7x and placed the reticle where the app showed and gently touched off the round. I couldn't see the hit because of the recoil, my wife was hunting with me and she said I made a good hit. The deer turned 180* took several slow steps and went down. I was thrilled with the accuracy of the Accutip round. My range time with the App, shotgun, scope and ammo had really paid off. I would have never attemped that long of a shot without all the prep and shooting at the range. I shot thirty rounds in the preseason to prepare for this hunt and my shoulder can attest it wasn't all fun until the afternoon of the hunt.

Great accuracy and fantastic knock down power. The expansion of these are second to none. Best on the market. My 15 year old grandson put this buck down in his tracks at 109 yards.
