Adding to their extremely successful line of stripped M4A1 uppers, Daniel Defense now has the stripped M4A1 upper with their RIII rail! This stripped M4A1 AR15 style Upper Receiver Group is built around a 14.5 inch Cold Hammer Forged M4 Profile barrel and a mid-length gas system. It features a 12.5 inch lightweight RIS III rail—modeled after the revolutionary RIS II two-piece handguard developed for SOCOM—features M-LOK attachment for lighter weight while still offering M203 grenade-launcher attachment.

Good enough for AFSOC good enough for the rest of us

I bought the DD RIS III 14.5 after doing research when an old Air Force friend suggested over a Giessele URGI. Told me they have the same barrel (mil contract URGI) but this had a more bulletproof handguard. Apparently he had ran some in a unit and praised it. Now I own one. I've only ran about 500 rounds through it with the only failure being from a bad round. This thing is a shooter. I run it in a Spike's Tactical lower, G2S trigger, DD BCG, Springco Blue and H2 buffer. Match rounds are hitting 1.2 - 1.4 MOA and M855 under or around 2 - 2.3 MOA both with a single flyer from time to time. I love this upper and I'm happy to have made the purchase. Also shout out to Brownells for always having great customer support and service.

This is my second DD weapon purchase. Just like the DDM4 16” I purchased about 12 years ago the fit and flush is excellent. I had my local GS add the Griffin muzzle device. Pinned and welded. Top of the Class!!!
