Ready if needed .....
Thought I would need to replace an existing screw bushing but it was easily repaired with purchased Brownell screw tap. Glad to have these extra bushings on hand.
Great to have
I have used these bushings on a few 1911s over a few years. One had a stripped bushing and another refused to let me remove the screw. A quick removal of the old bushing, I use blue LocTite, and using a flat head screw driver, insert the bushing and tighten.
Standard 1911 bushings...
Fit & function as required. Standard type 1911 stock bushings.
Best bushings
No reason to use anything else. With a little locktite these bushings have been serving me well for 15 years.
Easy replacements
Had to replace the stock bushings on my Colt Commander and these were a perfect fit.
Replaced non-standard bushings
Had two 1911 with smaller than standard bushings. Tapped standard size holes in the frames and then installed these bushings on both pistols. Perfect. Highly recommended.
Perfect
Fit snuggly, no trouble threading, screw slots were deep and true. Will replace old grip bushings on 2nd 1911 with these on next modification.
Perfect
Had to replace the stock bushings on my Springfield Champion and these were a perfect fit. I screwed them in once to check the fit and ensure the magazine would drop properly and then thread locked them in place. Outstanding product.
Works on my Kimber Pro
The installation was simple and straightforward. They were a little long so I flattened them with a dremel tool so the magazines would fall out freely. From reading other reviews, the length is by design. Its for when a special tool is used that flattens the bushings to hold them to the frame. I used Locktite.
good product
used these on my Ruger 22/45 after I milled off the molded in grips, installed standard 1911 grips....now it really feels like a .45! These bushings worked perfectly. Had to buy a custom tap is the only downside.
