The right size for a perfect fit!

It's wonderful that Brownells has plenty of selection for multiple bushing ID and OD measurements. You just can't buy any old barrel bushing off the shelf and expect it to fit. There are many common (and uncommon) combinations of inside and outside diameters for slides and barrels, and I was able to find the correct combination in the correct length and finish for my stainless commander. Shipping was acceptably fast, and I'm up and running.

Easy Installation

This was an easy "drop in" fit on a standard 1911 Government Model. Actually, it fits better than the original bushing. Definitely an easy to install quality product.

Classic Bushing, Quality part

Installed this on a Springfield Loaded model. Dropped right in, fit tighter to the slide (fore and aft play) than the original. Best of all, no brand marking on the bushing face.

After to talking to Brownells friendly gun tech, I got the Ed Brown barrel bushing for my Colt MK IV series 80, 45 Caliber and it fit perfectly. Delivery in two days.

Excellent for custom fitting

Used to tighten barrel to slide fit for a 1911 in 40 S&W. You should have access to a lathe and mandral to cut exterior surface to match slide and boring bar for the interior to match barrel. The finish is excellent, no tool marks and machined very nicely.
