Product Spotlight: Holosun Ronin Optics
Introduction
Hey everyone, Caleb here from Brownells! Today, we’re taking a look at the Holosun Ronin Series of optics, featuring the AEMS, EPS Carry, and the 507C Comp models. These are great options for various types of shooters, from those who prefer a large window for quick target acquisition to those looking for something more compact. Let’s dive into what sets each optic apart and see what the Ronin series has to offer.
Overview of the Holosun Ronin Series
The Ronin Series is a new offering from Holosun, featuring some of their most advanced optics. We’re going to look at three specific models: the AEMS (Advanced Enclosed Micro Sight), the EPS Carry, and the 507C Comp. While these optics have familiar designs, the Ronin series adds a few twists. Each optic comes with the Ronin logo and some slight differences compared to their standard counterparts.
AEMS Features and Large Window Design
First up, we have the AEMS (Advanced Enclosed Micro Sight). Right off the bat, you’ll notice that this model is much larger than the standard AEMS. This bigger optic provides a huge window, making it ideal for rapid target acquisition. The larger field of view helps you stay on target while keeping the surrounding environment visible. Even though the AEMS is larger, the design ensures that the material doesn’t interfere with your line of sight. It’s all about providing as much window as possible with minimal obstruction. The clear lens covers are also a great touch. You can flip them down if things get dirty, keeping your optic clean and ready to go.
Clear Lens Covers and Solar Backup
One of the features I really like about the AEMS is the solar backup. If you're shooting in bright sunlight, the optic can use solar power to extend the battery life. It’s a fantastic option when you're out in the field for extended periods and don’t want to worry about your battery running out. This gives you that extra layer of reliability.
QD Mount with Locking Lever
The AEMS also comes with a QD (quick-detach) mount, making it easy to attach or remove the optic from your rifle. There’s a locking lever that prevents the mount from accidentally getting knocked off your gear. This ensures that once it’s locked in place, it stays secure. The mount also has a large indexing lug that fits onto your 1913 rail, adding extra stability to the setup.
Ronin Logo and EPS Carry Features
Next, we have the EPS Carry. This optic looks almost identical to the standard model, but it features the unique Ronin logo on top. One of the key differences in this Ronin edition is that it no longer includes the solar panel on the top, which brings the price down a bit. Other than that, it retains the same battery, adjustments, and overall setup as the standard EPS Carry.
507C Comp Features and Multi-Reticle System
Lastly, we have the 507C Comp. This optic usually features a competition reticle, but in the Ronin edition, it comes with Holosun’s multi-reticle system. If you prefer the multi-reticle, this version gives you the same large window as the 507C Comp but with a different reticle option. Like the EPS Carry, it also has the Ronin logo for that special edition touch.

That wraps up our look at the Holosun Ronin Series optics. With features like a large viewing window, solar backup, and multi-reticle systems, the Ronin optics bring something special to the table.
