New Products: St. Croix, Tango Uniform, Midwest, Bell & Carlson

Our favorite new product team leader, Paul Levy, is back to show us some exciting goodies just added to the Brownells lineup. St. Croix Tactical now offers their ergonomically enhanced SCT-19 Compact Pistol Frame in Flat Dark Earth (FDE). If you want to build up your own custom pistol using a Glock® 19 compatible slide and internal parts, this well-made, yet surprisingly affordable, frame is a great way to go.

 

The SCT-19 FDE comes with the stainless steel locking block and slide rails installed, with all the upgrades of the original "basic black" model. These include the aggressive but not harsh texturing on the sides of the grip plus horizontal ribs on the frontstrap and backstrap to give you a super-secure grasp on your pistol. The grip contour lets you maintain a nice high hold for excellent control, while a thumb ledge on the left side positions your thumb for easy operation of the mag release. The SCT-19 is a serial-numbered part, so FFL rules apply for purchase.

 

The Echo Zulu AR-15 Castle Nut Kit from Tango Uniform includes a tool that makes the chore of staking the castle nut easy and fast. Of course, the castle nut has to be staked so it can't work loose and let your buffer tube work loose. Just install the buffer tube (aka receiver extension), tighten the castle nut to the proper torque spec, and nestle the Tango Uniform tool into the serrations of the castle nut. Then insert the included punch and tap it with your gunsmith hammer to make a perfectly positioned staking indent.

 

The Alpha Series M4 Beam Stock from Midwest Industries lets you put a standard M4-type AR-15 carbine stock on a rifle with an M1913 Picatinny stock rail. If you have a favorite AR collapsible stock you'd like to transfer to your Brownells BRN-180, AK / Kalashnikov, SIG Sauer MCX, or similar firearm, the M4 Beam is your ticket. Fixed and folding models available. The folder can be set up to fold to the left OR the right.

 

Among a whole bunch of Bell & Carlson stocks just added to our site, the M40-Style Stock for the Howa 1500 mini action is made of lightweight composite material to help make your rifle easy to carry. A built-in aluminum bedding block lets you anchor the action securely for best accuracy. You get a pair of sling swivel studs, plus a spare swivel stud on the underside of the forearm for attaching a bipod, and a generous rubber recoil pad keeps you on friendly terms with your rifle.
