Build your ideal rimfire rifle with the Brownells BRN-22 Receiver and your choice of precision barrel. Whether you're targeting maximum accuracy, weight savings, or a clean custom aesthetic, this system gives you the flexibility to create a rifle tailored to your needs—all starting with a rock-solid foundation.

The BRN-22 Receiver is machined from billet 6061-T6 aluminum for superior tolerances and interior fit compared to cast or forged options. It features a matte black or clear Type 2 hardcoat anodized finish and includes a pre-drilled cleaning rod access hole at the rear—so you can clean from the chamber end, protecting your muzzle crown and long-term accuracy.

Includes V-block and screws. Compatible with Ruger® 10/22® bolts and components.

• BRN-22R (Railed): Integral 0 MOA Picatinny rail for rock-solid optic mounting

• BRN-22 (Smooth): Drilled and tapped for use with standard Ruger® 10/22® scope bases

Barrel Options:

Beyer Lightweight Aluminum Barrel
A match-grade, bull-profile barrel built from 7075 aluminum with a steel Chromalloy liner. Delivers the stiffness and thermal performance of a steel barrel without the weight. Chambered in .22 LR with a 1:16” twist, Cerakote™ finish, and ½"-28 TPI threads. Ideal for target builds or suppressor use.

FJ Feddersen Match Barrel
Heavy-contour .920” chrome-moly steel barrel with Feddersen’s patented drilling and button rifling for outstanding bore uniformity and accuracy. Matte black finish, 1:16” twist, and ½"-28 TPI threaded muzzle. A proven performer in the 10/22® platform.

E.R. Shaw 16.5" Chrome Moly Barrel
This heavy-contour barrel features a precision “Bentz” match chamber for enhanced accuracy while maintaining reliable cycling. Made from polished blue chrome-moly steel with a 1:16" twist and a ½"-28 threaded muzzle. Excellent shot-to-shot stability in a compact 16.5” length—perfect for custom plinking, small game, or range builds.
