PRO MAG - Ruger Mini-14 Magazine 223/5.56 20rd Steel Black

If you need a Mini 14 magazine that is a little more affordable the 20 round magazines will do. While I have not tried the 30 or 10 for that matter but I hear that those may not be the best. I have a few of these 20 rounders and can’t say that I had a problem with them.

Maybe I've been getting the best off the assembly line, but I've never had any issue with the 30rd or 20rd ProMag magazines. I prefer using the Ruger factory magazine, but the price for a single magazine is not in my budget. I've used the ProMag magazines for nearly a decade and they have performed well in numerous drills and in the dirt. When I first bought my Mini-14 in 2002 the only 30rd magazines available in catalogs were cheaply constructed ones made before the assault weapons ban, so I'm very appreciative of what ProMag provides for a reasonable cost.

Bought two of these and tried them at the range today with not very good results. Would not chamber bullet most of the time. Tried different brands of shells, no difference. Will stick with Ruger brand.

I bought 2 of the pro mag 30 rounders.they lock in ok but on the last round they don't lock the bolt back and when you pull the empty magazine out,the bolt slams closed.I compared it to a Ruger Magazine and its dementions are not the same.I had been warned not to buy Promags but Ruger mags were out of stock.I should've waited until they were back in stock.

Very deceptive way to sell these magazines. No where in the description or title (at time of order) is ProMag mentioned except for the emblem on the bottom of the page. Very disappointed to see ProMag and not Ruger when I got my order. I have been told by almost every review and gun store owner to NEVER BUY ANYTHING BUT RUGER MAGS FOR A RUGER MINI 14!!! Bought 3, I will test 1 at the range and maybe update my review later if I like them.
