An LTT-Enhanced Springfield Armory XD-E
There are many people who feel that the DA/SA semi-automatic pistol is ideal for personal defense and concealed carry, since that long, double-action trigger pull for the first round provides added cushion and built-in decision-making time in a defensive scenario. Currently, the Springfield Armory XD-E is the only single-stack DA/SA handgun on the market right now, and Langdon Tactical turned this platform to 11 with a few modifications and enhancements.
Each LTT XD-E Compact pistol focused on the improvement of the trigger pull, decreasing the double-action pull by 2 pounds down to 8 pounds and bringing the single-action pull weight down to about 4.5 pounds. The company also replaced the hammer on the XD-E, ensuring that carriers have a low-profile option that provides improved concealment and makes for snag-free draws.
- Barrel length: 3.3 inches
- Overall length: 6.75 inches
- Weight: 1.56 pounds
- Ships with two 8-round magazines, one 9-round magazine
Other features found on the LTT XD-E Compact include a sniper-gray Cerakote finish on the slide, upgraded AmeriGlo CAP sights, an extra, flush-fit, 8-round magazine and an extra flush cap to customize magazine length. The pistols are also available with a 12# or 12.7# hammer spring, both of which provide enhanced reliability with US-Spec and NATO-spec ammunition, respectively.
