A Semi-Auto MP5 Made by Heckler & Koch
While the Heckler & Koch MP5 might be the world's most popular submachine gun, American gun owners have had no luck getting any kind of commercial offering of the platform straight from H&K. That all changed with the launch of the semi-automatic-only SP5K-PDW, which is built in the same factory that churns out the original MP5.
Despite its semi-auto-only configuration, the Heckler & Koch SP5K-PDW is outfitted with the same roller-delayed blowback system found on the original MP5s. The kurz model features a shortened barrel, as well as other classic features like the Navy-style threaded tri-lug adapter, paddle magazine release and fluted chamber.
- Barrel length: 4.5 inches
- Overall length: 13.8 inches
- Weight: 4.2 pounds
- Ships with two 30-round magazines
While there have been many attempts to offer an MP5 clone on the American market, there's only one true MP5, and it's made by Heckler & Koch at its Oberndorf factory in Germany. These SP5K-PDWs roll off the same assembly line and are made by the same workers who've been making MP5s for years. Now's your chance to get as close as you can to the real deal!
