A Groundbreaking Concealed-Carry Gun You Won't Believe
When Wilson Combat rolled out its EDC X9, people couldn't believe how perfectly the company captured the essence of a 1911 while incorporating modern-day features like a 15-round magazine capacity. Now, the company set the bar even higher with the launch of its EDC X9S, which shrinks the already-concealable handgun to even smaller dimensions, all while ensuring that it's easy to shoot, incredibly accurate, dead-nuts reliable and capable of carrying a load of rounds.
Each Wilson Combat EDC X9S features a similar look and feel to its big brother, but the company decided to make this pistol a true carry gun by shortening the barrel and grip frame. As a result, the X9S frame uses a 10-round magazine instead of the 15-round magazine in the original EDC X9. However, the slim profile of the aluminum frame means that non-railed versions of this pistol will easily fit holsters designed for short-barreled, single-stack 1911s.
- Barrel length: 3.25 inches
- Overall length: 6.54 inches
- Weight: 1.59 pounds
- Ships with two 10-round magazines
To ensure its suitability for CCW use, Wilson Combat enhanced its EDC X9S with the company's Enhanced Reliability System, which is tailored for use with varying kinds of 9mm ammunition, so no matter what your chosen defensive load is, the pistol will run it without a problem. Even if your gun is loaded with carbon fouling or short on lubrication, the company's ERS modification is designed to keep your pistol running, no matter the situation.
