sweets for copper
Referred by a competition shooter. My pattern started to open up,get a flyer. I was told about copper fouling. I thought my guns were clean. I was surprised to see what sweets got outta my (clean bore). Haven't shot my gun yet,but definitely made a difference. Made the brush wet, ran it thru twice, waited 30 minutes, dry patched out till blue was gone, followed by my CLP wet patch and dry, then light oil patch.

Best ever for old military rifles.
Latest use was for a Lee Enfield Mk 4 made in 1942 that was imported in the 60's. It took about 20 minutes to get all of the old copper fouling out. Just remember not to leave it in the bore for any extended period, and be sure to follow up with a lightly oiled patch when you are finished.

Sweets 7.62 Copper Solvent
Best there is, hands down. Thick solution sticks to rifling. Ammonia is aggressive and quick to remove heavy copper in rifle barrels. Ive been using it for over 25 years and have found nothing better. Hard to find locally in stores, so Brownells is my go to for cleaning supplies. System I use is: bronze bore brush with Hoppes #9, swab dry. Wet barrel very well w/ 7.62; sit 20 min. Swab out blue dissolved copper. Then use small amount of Iosso paste bore cleaner, pushing patches through til clean. Repeat as necessary and even again 2 days later if your done with the rifle for the season. Then run a patch with Hoppes light oil for storage. Simple.

Sweet's 7.62 is all I want to use
Sweets 7.62 is the only bore cleaner I have really good success with. Have tried others, but always come back to good old 7.62. It is still work to get the bore clean, but this stuff does it best for me. I use it on several rifles, from 5.56 to 405 Win with success. This stuff is aggressive, recommend using disposable rubber exam gloves when working with it. Read the directions and follow them.

Perfect for copper
I only use this every 100 rounds or so for copper. Powder etc. it does okay on but copper this is second to none. It will take your breath away the first time you will use it. MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN A WELL VENTALATED AREA. One bottle of this goes a long way. Everyone should have this in the cleaning especially if you are shooting high speed rounds like .204.
