Law Tactical ARIC - How To Fit the Cup Properly
The Law Tactical ARIC or "AR Internal Carrier" for the AR-15 is easy to install. But there are a few tricks to properly fitting the cup that retains the ARIC's end plate. Brownells Gun Tech™ Caleb Savant explains them to us. The ARIC is designed to work with Law Tactical's Gen 3-M Folding Stock Adapter. When installing the cup, make sure the solid, flat end faces the rear of the receiver and the flange on top faces up. Hit the Gen 3-M's release button and slide the cup in. If it binds, inspect the exterior of the cup for burrs or deformities. Look inside the folding stock adapter for the same. If everything is clear, loosen the setscrew on the side of the Gen 3-M with a 3/32" hex wrench. Now try to fit the cup. Is it moving freely? If yes, tighten the setscrew just enough so it's snug but you can still move the cup in and out freely.
Why is this so important? When the cup moves freely, it will sit flush against the lower receiver. If it doesn't sit flush, it can bind the springs on the ARIC and impair the function of your AR-15.
