Introduction
Hey, Caleb with Brownells here. In today’s Product Spotlight, I’m showing off a small but really useful part from Die Free Company. It’s called the Full Stop and while I wasn’t exactly sure why it’s named that at first, by the end of the video it kind of makes perfect sense.
What Is the Full Stop?
The Full Stop is this small component right up front on my rifle. It's a billet aluminum piece that attaches via two M-LOK slots, so once it’s on, it’s not going anywhere. That secure mounting is important, especially if you're going to be pushing into barricades or using it to control recoil.
At first glance, it’s a little hard to tell exactly what it’s for. That’s because the answer is, basically, whatever you want it to be. It can be a hand stop, a barricade stop, or just an indexing point on your handguard. It’s simple, but that’s what makes it so versatile.
Textured and Purpose-Built
One of the standout features is the textured front face. It’s designed to grip against surfaces, making it a great option when you need to brace against a barricade or shooting position. You can also flip it around if it fits your hand or grip better in a different direction.
I didn’t get an official explanation from Die Free Company on why they call it the Full Stop, but after using it, it sort of clicks. It serves as a full stop for your support hand, your gun’s movement against a barrier, or wherever you need it.
My Setup on the BRN-4
On my BRN-4 build, I’ve got the Full Stop mounted forward, paired with a Die Free Tiger Claw farther back. This gives me a solid indexing point for my support hand. Personally, I like to place my index finger along the handguard, kind of pointing forward, and rest against the Full Stop.
That’s just how I hold the rifle. You can set yours up however feels best. There’s no one right way to do it, but this setup lets me build consistency and speed.
Barricade Support and Recoil Control
The Full Stop really shines when used as a barricade brace. You can lean into it, pressing the gun forward into the stop and using your body weight to control recoil. This not only helps you stay on target, but it allows for faster follow-up shots with better stability.
Even though it’s a small part, the impact it has on control and consistency is noticeable. If you shoot from improvised or positional setups often, something like this is a smart addition to your build.

That’s the Die Free Company Full Stop. Compact, durable, and more versatile than it looks. Whether you want a hand stop, a brace point, or just something to lock your hand placement, it gets the job done.
