The 22 ARC is essentially a 6.5 Grendel that has been necked down to accept 22 caliber bullets to utilize the high BC, heavy for caliber bullets in .224" diameter, as well as being able to push the lighter .224" bullets faster than the .223 Rem. This gives you a versatile cartridge for either long range target shooting or varmint hunting that works well in both bolt action and AR platform rifles. Small Rifle Primer.
