FORSTER ORIGINAL CASE TRIMMER KIT

Case Trimmer Kit, Original, - includes 6 pilots (22, 24, 25, 27, 28, & 30) and 3 collets (1, 2, & 3). The old standby! The Original, Forster Case Trimmer is the right choice for most calibers with bullet diameters from .171" to .459" . It is actually a fine miniature lathe with a superior shell holder design based on a Brown & Sharpe type collet. Collets #1 through #4 fit our Original, Case Trimmer and hold the rims of most rifle and pistol calibers within that range. The Original Case Trimmer allows you to go as far as you need to go with your reloading because it allows you to expand your system by adding any of the accurizing accessories. Kit includes collets 1, 2 & 3 and pilots 22, 24, 25, 27, 28 & 30. Requires Forster Trimmer Cutter w/Shaft 17 cal for use with .17 cal Pilot.

Better than I thought
Been using a Lee style case trimmer. Very tedious. This little gem changed that. I’m able to get .0005 accuracy from it so far.

On Point Every-time!
I love this product. It's adjustability I would score a "good" but what really matters to me is the repeatability. It trims square and always trims exact. I noticed that putting the brass on the pilot first while spinning slowly and moving it towards the collet, followed by locking down the collet achieves the most consistency. Otherwise I noticed that once in a while I had a crooked case. User error I believe on that part since I like to move fast when trimming.

Fine trimmer
A pleasure to use. The brass is easily inserted and firmly secured for a perfect trim. Well engineered and pleasing to the eye. I recommend the storage case as well.

Just OK, better trimmers exist
This trimmer does trim case mouths square, but if you are looking for case length variance of .001 or less, look elsewhere. Due to the case being held by a collet, differences in case rim thickness or even how tight you have the collet locked down, will show up as variances case length. This trimmer is painfully slow and difficult to set trim length. Do yourself a favor and buy the LE Wilson trimmer with the micrometer. Its much quicker and trims to within .0005 each time.
