SHOT Show 2017 Appearance Schedule
The extravaganza kicks off at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, Jan. 17 when Larry Zanoff shows up with his famous Guns of Hollywood. Larry will be there to display and talk about some of the actual guns used in movies and TV shows we all know and love. But be sure to get to the booth, because Larry and his Guns of Hollywood are there for only Tuesday morning!
Lou Ferrigno will also be appearing in the Brownells booth. With dozens of films and television shows to his credit, and a career of more than 30 years, Lou is perhaps best known for his hulking portrayal of everyone's favorite mean green machine of the silver screen!
Lou will be at the Brownells booth both Wednesday and Thursday during SHOT Show 2017, 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM.
Taran Butler appears Tuesday at 3:00 PM. Taran is not only a great competitive shooter, but also a firearms trainer to the stars! Everyone remembers the video of Keanu Reeves, under Taran's tutelage, shredding a 3-gun course in preparation for his next role as a hard-charging movie hitman. Taran also does a pretty killer impersonation of Ah-nuld, too!
Throughout the week, look for more celebrity booth appearances, like Brownells sponsored shooter Janna Reeves, and Larry Vickers, well-known special operations veteran, trainer, firearms industry consultant and star of his own TacTV.
Make plans for the evening of the 17th to hang out with likes of Lou Ferrigno, Janna Reeves, @LeaSpeed6, @lilreddanger89, @thejeepcalledyeti, and more. Our very own Pete Brownell will be there along with the Brownells crew. The Brownells SHOT Show meet-up will be at Gilley’s, inside Treasure Island, from 5:30pm to 7pm.

SHOT Show Rumors
Every year, anticipation builds as the clock ticks down to SHOT Show time. What new guns and gear will be unveiled this year?
There are plenty of rumors out there, like the possibility of a 9mm AR carbine that takes two Glock mags at once, a new muzzle device from Tapco, and a perhaps a new small .22 LR revolver from Inter Ordnance.
Besides rumors, some new guns have already been announced, or leaked. CZ-USA has already published its official catalog of new guns for 2017.
Remington's RP9, an 18+1 capacity 9mm pistol has been announced. And the Savage Arms MSR, an AR-pattern rifle available in .223 Wylde, 6.5 Creedmoor and .308, has begun showing up on various websites.
There's been a reported sighting of a full-color ad in a recent gun magazine, announcing a resurrection of the Colt Cobra revolver.
Smith &Wesson® has also unveiled an M&P® 10 in 6.5 Creedmoor along with a ported version of the M&P® 45 Shield. And news of the M&P M2.0 pistol just broke.
Hornady® has announced some hot new ammo for 2017. Combining high-tech bullets with the most-advanced propellants, Hornady® BLACK ammo is available for many popular calibers, including an InterLock® HD SBR load in 5.56mm, specifically formulated for short-barreled rifles or AR-15 style pistols.
Precision Hunter ammo has expanded to five new loadings, and uses ELD-X® bullets to give match-grade accuracy while delivering excellent terminal performance on game. Hornady also unveiled 8 new loadings for Match Ammunition, including the 6mm Creedmoor, and also added the 6.5 Creedmoor to its American Gunner® line.
Not only are there new things to see, there are new things to help you see! Vortex has announced three new products – the Gen II PST Viper scopes including a new 1-6X, the Diamondback Tactical line that gives tall turrets and holdover and wind-compensating reticles at affordable prices, and their new Fury Laser Rangefinding Binoculars.
Leupold announced their new VX-3i LRP scopes in 4.5-14X50, 8.5-25X50 and 6.5-20X50. Designed for accuracy at long range, the Vx-3i LRP scopes come with either first or second-focal-plane reticles for rangefinding, holdover and wind-compensation in different long-range shooting styles. The elevation dial gives a travel indicator and an adjustable zero stop, and the windage dial has a removable protective cover that can be replaced with an exposed dial for instant reference. Finally, side-focus gives fast parallax adjustments and the throw-lever makes it easy to change between magnification settings.
Every day, more and more new products are revealed or leaked.
