Product Spotlight: Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro
Brownells Gun Tech™ Caleb Savant gives us a show-and-tell overview of the Springfield Armory Hellcat Pro pistol. Chambered in 9mm Luger (9x19mm), the Pro is slightly larger than its little brother, the original micro-compact Hellcat. The Big News is the Hellcat Pro's 15-ROUND, flush-fit magazine. That's full-size 9mm pistol capacity in a nearly "micro-compact" pistol package! The gun's slightly larger size also means somebody with large mitts can grasp the Pro with even their pinky finger firmly wrapped around the grip. There's enough room up front on the underside of the frame to mount a light or laser sight, AND all Hellcat Pros are optic-ready, with a cutout for mounting a red dot sight that fits the Shield RMSc footprint. It also has "iron sights": a Tritium dot night sight up front and a rear sight with a white-outlined U-notch. Some Hellcat Pro models will come with a Springfield Hex Wasp red dot sight, which offers a 3.5 MOA dot and 65,000-hour (!) battery life. Dot brightness changes automatically, depending on the ambient light. All in all, the Springfield Hellcat Pro promises to set a new standard for concealed carry pistols.
