All of Brownells, Inc. spray coatings have a heavy body for a more durable finish. During the time any of these products sit on the shelf some settling occurs.
Un-pack the oven and make sure the unit is not damaged. The oven requires proper anchoring to prevent tipping and there are extended brackets at the base that can be attached to any non-flammable floor or bench.

Brownells Baking Lacquer is available in both Clear, for use on gray-finished
actions and gun parts, and Black, for use on hard-to-blue items such
as cast iron shotgun receivers, forend irons,Winchester Post-1964 Model 94
receivers, aluminum receivers and trigger groups, plus stainless steel parts.
As an embellisher of firearms, I particularly like to use the cosmetic gray
finishes to highlight my work. But, as an active hunter and user of firearms,
and a professional, licensed guide in the State of Wyoming for the most part
of 17 years, I am also very interested in the functional uses of firearms.
1) Polish or bead blast parts to achieve the desired finish.
2) Degrease the parts with Brownells TCE Cleaner°Degreaser, Acetone or Lacquer
thinner. After degreasing, allow part to warm to room temperature before spraying.
