Range Rod
Range Rod

A range rod is used to confirm alignment or detect unacceptable amounts of misalignment between a revolver’s individual chambers and its barrel. When each chamber is properly aligned with the barrel, a revolver will be more accurate and less likely to “spit” or “shave” lead.

Yoke/Crane Reamer
Yoke/Crane Reamer

This precision ground reamer removes burrs and inconsistencies from the interior of S&W K, L and N frame revolver yokes as well as Ruger “Six” series and GP-100 revolver cranes.

Because of the locking system at each end of the ejector rod, malfunctioning of the Ruger or Smith & Wesson revolvers is usually not encountered until the crane is severely bent. Smoothness of operation can often be impaired with only a very small or slight misalignment.

Handgun Action Wrench System
Handgun Action Wrench System

Changing barrels on handguns has become an accepted part of the custom pistolsmith’s job, as well as a fairly common occurrence in a “repair” gun shop. Without a proper action wrench, revolver frames can be sprung so badly out of shape that they are unusable.
