Brownells® Hires New E-Commerce Manager

Brownells®, the world’s largest supplier of firearm accessories and gunsmithing tools, has named Clayton Whipple as the company’s new e-commerce manager.

Whipple’s role as e-commerce manager will include the oversight and on-going development of Brownells.com and other related sites. The Brownells Websites allow customers around the globe to access information on more than 30,000 products or purchase them directly. Brownells.com is also a resource on general firearms information and gunsmithing techniques, as well as schematics from twenty-two major firearm manufacturers.

“Clayton brings with him a great deal of knowledge and expertise in e-commerce to Brownells,” said Frank Brownell, company president. “With the constantly growing importance of the Internet in the industry and to our business, he will play a vital role in continuing to provide our customers with the world-class selection, service and satisfaction they’ve come to expect from Brownells.”

With a degree in marketing and electronic business from Iowa State University, Whipple has more than seven years experience in e-commerce. A Sidney, Iowa, native and former store developer for NetShops.com, he worked with the research and development of new, specialty retail sites as well as content and special project management.

Since 1939, Brownells has been serving gunsmiths, hunters, shooters, and military and law enforcement professionals with the products they need to repair, protect and accessorize their firearms. Today, the company stocks more than 30,000 items, and its long-familiar horizontal-format catalog is known to its customers worldwide as being uniquely Brownells. Products can be ordered by toll-free phone, fax or through the company’s Website. For more information, call (800) 741-0015, Dept. #C1I, or visit http://www.brownells.com.
