Staff Sergeant Bobby Dove - SOWW Board Member
Retired Staff Sergeant Bobby Dove served as a Green Beret in the US Army Special Forces. On June 9, 2012, SSG(R) Dove was injured by an IED while driving a dirt bike on combat patrol in Afghanistan, resulting in amputations of his right hand and leg, as well as many other life threatening injuries. Through hard work, determination and the support of his wife, Bobby has made significant progress in his recovery.
Since medically retiring in 2014, Bobby has been actively involved with nonprofit organizations that strive to help wounded service members return to the outdoors, strengthen and rebuild family relationships, and receive proper medical treatment.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Special Operations Wounded Warriors and is a Team 43 Sports Warrior. He has vowed to continue to succeed and take his life and recovery into his own hands. He also owns and operates "Hooligan Charters", an inshore fishing charter service in Destin, FL.
