Brownells Catalog #71 PDFs
Dear Folks –
Pete and I, along with the whole Brownells crew, are mighty pleased to present you with our Master Catalog #71. When you start browsing through these pages, we think you're going to be awfully excited, too! We're continuing to get the focus back on the gunsmith, pro or hobbyist, who works on guns, so ammo, optics, reloading, and the like have been moved to our website to make room for more products for "hands-on" folks.
The Big Book continues to be a great way to keep your finger on the pulse of the firearm industry. This year, the wave of new products for building custom pistols that are not 1911s shows no sign of topping out! Polymer80 frames, plus slides, match-quality barrels, trigger upgrades, and other customizing parts from Apex to ZEV and a whole bunch in between, including Brownells, have really made it possible for the gunnut to build a totally customized pistol from the frame up.
For you .22 fans, we've introduced our new BRN-22™ receiver. We designed it to accept any parts compatible with the Ruger® 10/22®, so you can build up a custom .22 rifle with off-the-shelf parts. We've added some neat twists, including a version with a built-in Picatinny rail and receiver/barrel combos.
The other Big News is our new "Retro" line of AR-15 products. It's hard to believe the AR is over 60 years old! A few years ago, we detected growing interest among AR fans in the classic, early guns. But wow! Those old guns had gotten expensive. After talking with a lot of folks in the know, much planning, a few setbacks, and some lucky "ah-ha!" moments, we've launched our Retro line of parts to build early-style AR- 15s: detail-correct replicas of receivers, stocks, handguards, barrels, bolt/ carrier groups, even the early "waffle" magazine. ALL are made from modern materials to current "mil-spec" dimensions so you can build a Retro AR that's a sturdy shooter, too. "History you can shoot," we like to call it.
Just scratching the surface here! You'll find a whole lot of exciting new products all through this catalog. We haven't changed the things that make Brownells unique: free website chat, e-mail, and phone support from our knowledgeable Gun Tech™ crew; no minimum order size; next day shipping; and multiple shipping options to suit your needs and budget. Of course, everything you buy from us is still Guaranteed. Forever.™ We've tweaked the slogan a bit, but it still means what it always has: If you buy an item from us and you're not completely satisfied with it for any reason, at any time, return it to us for a full refund or exchange - your choice. We're here for the long haul, 79 years and counting, so we treat you the same way we want to be treated.
As always, Pete and I want to stay in touch with you. Please tell us what you think - what we're doing right, what we can do better - via e-mail, phone, postal mail, or Facebook. Make sure you subscribe to our YouTube channel, Facebook page and Instagram to keep up with all our latest news, and if you haven't already, visit Brownells.com to sign up for e-mails that'll keep you up-to-date on our latest sales, special offers and new gear.

On The Cover: Bobby Tyler
I grew up hunting and shooting in Seminole, Texas. From early on, I wanted to discover what made guns work, and more importantly what didn't.
In 1999, I found my talent for metal finishing at the Colorado School of Trades.
Today, my family owns Tyler Gun Works in Friona, Texas and I am fortunate to work along side my wife and kids. We do color case and bluing work for many manufacturers, as well as individual customers and gunsmith shops across the country. We restore old Colts, Winchesters and Rugers, and work with some of the finest hand engravers to provide once-in-a-lifetime firearms. A one-stop shop with fast turnaround, we keep prices affordable for the working man. And we believe customer service is still king.
As a satisfied Brownells' customer since before trade school, I think it is the go-to source for anything you need in the gunsmith shop.
We built our company on principles and morals. We still believe in America and thank God for the many blessings we have today.
