One of the great things about the AR-15/M16 rifle is its modular “plug and play” adaptability – you don’t
have to be a veteran gunsmith to repair, modify, and upgrade your rifle. A popular upgrade is replacing an
AR-15 rifle’s somewhat cumbersome fixed buttstock with a more comfortable, compact, adjustable-length
carbine stock like the Magpul CTR stock. The job is straightforward: all you need is the stock, a different
receiver extension, buffer, and spring, and two important tools. It’s all in this kit.

The simple brass or white plastic bead that comes on most shotguns is
adequate for a lot of shooting situations. But sometimes you need to pick
up the bead extremely quickly and get it on the target – hunting fast-moving birds,
tactical/law enforcement operations, and competition. That’s when a brightly
glowing fiber optic sight is indispensable. It’s easy to remove the factory bead and install
the FO sight, IF you have the Hi-Viz sight and the tools in this kit. This sight comes with
different colored, interchangeable inserts so you can further customize it to your exact needs.

The 870 is one tough, reliable shotgun – it can take a beating and still run just fine.
And very often you can find solid but ratty-looking surplus law-enforcement 870s
available inexpensively on the used market. You can transform one of these old 870s
simply by replacing a dinged up wood buttstock and forend with a sharp-looking synthetic
stock set like the Hogue Overmolded. It’ll also add some welcome ergonomic benefits to
make the gun easier to handle and hold. Along with the right screwdriver bits, you need
some special 870-specific tools to remove the buttstock bolt, the forend, and the magazine
tube cap, and the trigger group pins. ALL these items - including the
Hogue stock set - are contained in this kit.

Many AR-15s come from the factory with a military-type trigger that has a long, gritty, imprecise pull. Replacing that trigger is one of the best ways to improve your rifle’s overall performance. The job is easy – if you have these specialized tools. They will help you remove the factory trigger and replace
it with either a self-contained “box style” drop-in trigger module or a traditional, multi-piece trigger
system. (Trigger must be purchased separately.) Kit contains a #84 Magna-Tip Screwdriver handle
and 240-5 bit to remove the pistol grip, polyethylene bench block, pin punch, and a Hammer Drop
Block that lets you test your new trigger by dry-firing it without risk of damaging your rifle’s receiver.

One of the biggest threats to your rifle’s accuracy is deep-seated carbon, lead, and copper fouling in
its bore. Traditional patch-and-solvent cleaning methods are good for removing surface fouling, but
they’ll barely make a dent in this gunk. For years, experienced shooters have used a combination of
Brownells J-B Bore Cleaning Compound, Kroil penetrating oil, and TCE Degreaser to remove this
fouling. The technique demonstrated in this video is simple and easy to do – if you have this kit.

Camouflage patterns are popular for both tactical and hunting guns. Many rifles and
shotguns now come from the factory with a camo finish. Using Brownells Aluma-Hyde
II® spray-on epoxy finish, older guns can be easily refurbished with an up-to-date camo
finish that comes out of a spray can – no airbrushes or special equipment required. Even
better, the Aluma-Hyde finish is tough and durable. This Camo Painting Kit includes the
four most popular camouflage colors - Black, Earth Brown, Desert Tan, O.D. Green
plus TCE Degreaser to prep the gun’s surface for good adherence of the new finish.
