Pete Talk About Guns
Dear Folks, Dear Folks,
Keep it Simple.

Keeping life and business simple is very hard. A famous writer once wrote "I would write you a shorter letter but I do not have the time". Here are three actions you can use to keep life simple.
  1. Keep the Main Thing, the main thing. Many times we lose focus of our objective or we stray off the path. Write down what your main objective is keeping it front of you while you go through your day. There are many distractions being thrown in front of you at every moment. It helps to have a written reminder to bring you back to where we do our best work. The concept of Multi-tasking was developed by bosses trying to stuff more projects into an hour's work. You must remember your brain can not hold two thoughts at one time. There is no such thing as multi-tasking, there is just jumping from project to project. To keep things simple stay focused on ONE thing at a time.
  2. Cut your process in half and then halve it again. This is the process of trying to figure out what the "bare bones" of the process is. If you force yourself to simplify it is amazing how ... well ... simple you can make things. Many projects or journeys we start get all cobbled up because we add to them unnecessarily. We insert too many steps or multiple expectations. Take the time up front to be clear of the outcome.
  3. Have a clear sense of what is right and wrong. Take your time to figure out up front what path you will take. Do you have a Goal? Having a clear sense of your goal clarifies your path. Jumping in and then figuring out what is to be done is a recipe for excitement but not necessarily simplicity. Think about the success of your outcome and then shoot for it.

Take the time to simplify. Make the effort to actively work toward a simpler path. Simple is not easy. Simple takes a lot of work.

Best Wishes,

Tightening a Flash Hider Tightening a Flash Hider
If you use an AR-15 armorer's wrench to tighten a flash hider and you are using a crush washer, the wrench may bind. The tail end of an A2 flash hider is shorter than the wrench is thick. If you need to turn the flash hider much to align it, the wrench may get pinched between the shoulder of the flash hider and the crush washer.
