Dear Folks
Look for a completely new Brownells website to be up and running in June! Clayton, our Web Manager, has been working on this project for the past eighteen months, and he and his crew have put in a lot of hours to make this new site a big step forward.
As all of you know who've used our web site in the past, it had issues. Frankly, that's the "politically correct" way of saying it, because it was several years out of date and didn't allow for the massive improvements that make this new site completely customer friendly.
Here's a list of the major changes:- A whole New Design - We have redesigned the site to make finding products and information easier. Everything is better organized.
- Improved Search - We have made major improvements to the search & made it adaptable, so that over time our search will continue to get better.
- New Product Categorization - New "Department-style" tabs along the top feature our primary product categories. We have also reorganized our sub-categories to make browsing & filtering products easier. We will continue to make improvements here as well.
- Bigger Product Images - You can now click on a product image to make it bigger and see all of the details. We are also working to provide additional product images as well as 360 degree rotating images of some items.
- New GunTech Section - We have reorganized all of our great Videos, Articles, Cheat Sheets, Instructions and other great information to make it easier to find answers to your questions and build your knowledge of gunsmithing and our products. If we have additional info on a product, you can find a link to that info from the product pages.
- Product Reviews - You, our Customers, can now rate & review products. You can also ask product questions through our interactive Answerbox feature on the SKU pages.
- Faster Checkout - We have made checkout easier and provided more information in the "My Account" area.
I know you'll be pleased - Pete and I are. The site has been built to provide many more good things as we move forward. The architecture is friendly to improvement and will provide you with a faster, more detailed search engine, gunsmithing videos, articles, and the info you need to make your gunsmithing the best it can be.
When we launch next month, please tell us about what you like and don't like and we'll get the issues corrected. This new site is a work in progress and will continue to change and evolve.
